How to Care for a Bamboo Toothbrush in 3 Easy Tips
Using a bamboo toothbrush requires a bit more care than a plastic one. But you’ll feel rewarded for going green and loving the planet. Check out our 3 tips to learn how to care for your bamboo toothbrush.
Bamboo is an organic material whereas plastic is impenetrable. So we should keep your level of expectations regarding the appearance over time of use.
The wood colour is light when your Bam&Boo toothbrush is brand new. However the handle will darken after daily use, because bamboo is naturally porous. You shouldn’t feel sad or disappointed. This is absolutely normal. Also, we have good news: if you follow 3 easy tips, you’ll be taking good care for your bamboo toothbrush.
Here are the 3 easy tips on how to care for a bamboo toothbrush
TIP 1 - RINSE
Enjoy brushing softly your teeth. Take it as a mindfulness moment. No rush is needed and your gums will thank you. Then, rinse the bristles with warm tap water, removing toothpaste suds or food debris.
TIP 2 - DRY
Dry both the bristles and handle with a towel. Please, do not skip this important step. Your toothbrush will appreciate this extra loving care.
Be aware that using a toothbrush cover is not the best practice. You should always let the head dry out between uses. Make it fun and give your brush a sunbath 🙂
Once in a while you may want to clean thoroughly your toothbrush and you can do it with natural products. Never disinfect your toothbrush in the microwave or dishwasher.
TIP 3 - STORE
Place the toothbrush on top of your toothbrush holder or even a pebble to fully dry in between uses. This is also a cute way for storing. Or else, we highly recommend using a vented cup to avoid a pool of water in the bottom. Thus, preventing moist and dark handles.
