  • Dry brushing has been around for centuries and it’s believed to have many health benefits. As we truly value our beloved community, we don't want you to miss out on this incredible tool. Its exfoliation properties help remove dead cells from the skin, leaving your skin smoother and firmer while reducing the amount of toxins in the body.

Additionally, and despite no empirical evidence, some claim that dry brushing can reduce the appearance of cellulite as it has similar effects on the body as massage.

    2. Dispose of the bamboo handle in your local commercial composter (for a faster decomposition).

Frequently Asked Questions

What are the benefits of dry body brushing?

Dry body brushing has been around for centuries and it’s believed to have many health benefits.

- Exfoliates and removes dead, dry skin cells to allow for healthy new cell growth.

- Cleanses pores, removes dirt and impurities for blemish-free and healthy glowing skin.

- Dry brushing helps boost lymphatic flow and activate lymphatic drainage, which leads to the lymph system running smoothly and flushing trapped toxins in a faster way.

- Increases blood circulation, which in turn helps to deliver oxygen and other nutrients to our organs and skin. As a result, increased blood flow promotes supple and radiant appearance.

- Prepares the skin for waxing and beauty treatments such as tanning for a longer-lasting tan.

- Gives us a natural energy boost and soothes sore muscles.

- Provides stress relief and an invigorating massage.

- Prevents in-growing hairs.

How often should I dry my body brush?

Dry body brushing effectively opens up the pores on your skin. This is something you can and should be doing daily, but be careful not to do it too intensely because it can hurt your skin. Your skin should be dry, so the ideal time is in the shower before you wet your body. Be aware that the brushing should be soft.

What can go wrong with body brushing?

The most common side effect of dry brushing is irritated skin. But this will only happen if you brush too hard, because the brush has thick bristles, or if your skin is especially sensitive. While your skin may be a bit pink after a session, you most definitely don't want to see redness or abrasions on the skin. Start with care, once a day and see how your skin reacts.

Can I dry brush with soap?

Yes, you can. However, if you decide to use soap, go for a mild natural soap.

How do I clean my Bam& Boo Body Brush?

1. Fill a bowl with warm water.

2. Add a natural disinfectant like tea tree oil or other.

3. Place the brush in the bowl, bristles facing downwards.

4. Move the brush around.

5. Let it soak for 5-10 minutes then rinse with clean water, moving the bristles around to remove all tea tree oil.

How often should I change my body brush?

It’s recommended to replace the brush every 6-12 months as the bristles will eventually wear out. It’s also good to wash the brush every few weeks to remove dead skin cells.
